Decision Pace Web Presence
Working directly with the executives at business intelligence company Decision Pace, I set out to completely overhaul their web presence. Working on a tight schedule, we launched the new website to coincide with the closing of a million dollar seed funding round. Designing and developing the website myself in coordination with contacts inside the company, this was my first commercial web freelancing project.
After initially making contact through a startup incubator I was working out of at the time, the team at Decision Pace asked me to create a website that would fit their cutting edge html5 based product. Working on top of a stripped down twitter bootstrap responsive grid framework, I set out to create a web presence that would set them apart from the competition.
Being given almost completely free creative control on the project as well as designing and developing the website myself allowed me to push the boundaries of my developing capabilities. Using elements like the newly finalized CSS3 animation standards, I was able to create subtle visualizations which gracefully degrade to static infographics on non-standards compliant browsers. Designing business graphics from scratch in a way that would work with the aesthetics of the new site and scale in a responsive manner was another great challenge
